January 4, 2019 - Giving Rides

My nephew Frank was visiting with his girlfriend Johanna and they expressed a desire to go flying.  Frank has flown with me before but Johanna is German and has never flown in a small private airplane before.  Sure, my pleasure!

 
   
Johanna went first.  Let it be noted that Johanna has requested the "Thrill" ride, as opposed to the "Scenic" ride.   This time of year, the scenic ride is very good anyways, of course.

Down low, it was sort of hazy but once we climbed above a thin, broken layer, with sun on top, it was quite beautiful.  Although this picture doesn't do it justice.

I gave Frank almost the exact same ride as Johanna but the broken layer was gone on the second flight.  Frank enjoyed flying the plane; he has had a few lessons in the past.
   
We celebrated the fun, successful flights with the world's best pizza at Pizza Johns in Essex.
   
Followed by a visit to the Heavy Seas Brewary bar.  Heavy Seas is a local Baltimore brewery but sells nationally.  You may have had their flagship beer Loose Cannon.

We finished the day with a fun family dinner at a local Japanese steak house.  Good day!
